All the downtown area has a feeling of "corporate" to it, like being in a mall, it does feel like being in the street or the Souks. Souk Furn El Chebbak is a-not-so-interesting souk, but it is a souk. I used to get lost at the ABC mall (for a few months) but not at the Souks. Plus the name (souks) and what it actually is do not fit together, it is misleading: some tourist friends followed the signs and thought they would end up in a Souk (oriental craftsman small shops...)
